Beef Stew


  • 120g Lean Stewing Beef

  • 1 Cup Chopped Turnip

  • 2 Carrots

  • 2 Parsnips

  • 1 Onion/ Diced

  • 1 Medium Potato/ Chopped Into Darnes

  • 1 Cup Diced Peppers

  • 2 Celery Sticks

  • 2 Cloves Garlic/Crushed

  • 1 Beef Stockpot

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil

  • 2 Tbsp Tomato Puree


  1. Place a medium sized pan on low-medium heat and cook the beef, onion & garlic together using tsp of olive oil for about 5-7 mins, or until the beef has browned and has cooked thorugh.

  2. Remove from the pan and place in a side bowl.

  3. Add the celery and peppers back to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes using tsp olive oil. then add 1 jug of boiling water to the pan along with the stockpot.

  4. Add the chopped turnip, carrots, potatoes & parsnip and cook for 1-2 mins.

  5. Now add the beef back into the pan & season as you wish (thyme/ basil/ parsley/pepper). allow to boil for 2-3 minutes and then bring down to a simmer.

  6. Add the tomato puree & allow to cook for a further 20-30 minutes/ until the veg has softened.
